Michelle Krekels
Michelle Krekels is Partner and Head of Securities Litigation. She advises and litigates on financial disputes, commercial contracts, governance matters and liability risks. In addition, she is experienced in domestic and international arbitration.
Michelle has extensive experience in complex, cross-border proceedings. She has been involved in the following landmark cases: Philips, Steinhoff and KPNQwest.
She is committed to resolving disputes in a way that adds not only legal but also commercial value for her clients.
Her clients include national and international corporations as well as institutional investors. She works closely with in-house legal teams, international law firms, and litigation funders.
Michelle is known for her sharp analyses, critical insights, and client-focused approach. In 2024 and 2025, she was included in the Lawdragon 500 Global Plaintiff Lawyers, an international recognition of her leading role in shareholder activism and litigation. She is also a frequent speaker at international conferences on collective actions and securities litigation.
As a member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Thrombosis Foundation, she underscores both her social responsibility and her governance expertise.
